I remember times; freedom of mind
And everlasting joy, never unkind.
Vicious and vast, little did I know;
The seeds of darkness were sown.
I remember times; concealment of misery
And prevention of eruption, soon to come.
Battered and barren, those were the days;
The saplings of hell were created.
I remember times; intense pain
And longing, always strong.
Rage and rebel, I was the embodiment;
The plants of pain were denounced.
I won’t remember, I won’t forget
Those times; stuck in a limbo
Of pure evil, on the run
From that which is good.
Tired and tattered, starved of love;
The trees of old rejoice through the soul.
